Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™, and in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
Raymond James is not affiliated with any of the companies mentioned.
After spending more than 30 years in the financial services industry, Tom has become convinced that of all the skills he brings to the table, his commitment to real, genuine relationships tops the list.
As a Certified Kingdom Advisor®, Tom helps his clients create a financial plan that aligns with the life they want to live, and his easy-going, relationships-first approach simplifies even the most complex parts of wealth management.
A lifelong Indiana resident, Tom graduated from Indiana University and decided from the very start that instead of chasing the temporary fame of professional accolades and ribbons, his family would always be his highest priority. He’s used this conviction to help others understand that the legacy we create is just as important as the money we earn.
Tom is an active member and volunteer in his local community, and he’s served as a church elder, a board member with Christian Ministries and First Choice for Women, and a member of Kingdom Advisors. He loves late summer nights at the lake with friends and family, and on the rare summer weekend when he’s not at the lake, you’ll find him woodworking in his garage – door wide open so he can say hello to every neighbor walking by.
Brian has spent his entire professional career in the world of finance and legacy giving. Prior to joining the team at White River Wealth Management in 2009, Brian served as a financial advisor with Indiana’s largest independent, full-service investment firm and also served as a Regional Representative for major gifts at Asbury Theological Seminary. A proud graduate from Southern Illinois University, Brian earned his CFP® designation in 2012, and today, he and the White River Wealth Advisors team help more than 660 clients build their financial portfolios and create generational wealth.
Over the last two decades, Brian has been an active leader in his community and in his church. (He also serves as a volunteer swim coach at Delta High School where he often goes hoarse and dyes his hair blue just to encourage his swimmers to reach their personal bests.) Currently, he serves on the Hillcroft board of directors in Muncie, Indiana, and he is an active member of City Hope Fellowship.
When Brian isn’t working alongside his clients, he’s spending time with his family – and when he isn’t talking about finances, he is happily sharing the best stories and the cutest pictures of his grandbabies.
With over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, Tom offered expertise in comprehensive financial planning services for the families and individuals he served. Friendly and sincere, he enjoys taking the time to establish lasting relationships with clients, helping them to navigate the financial matters in their lives and find contentment and confidence in their financial futures.
Before joining Raymond James in October 2017, Tom was a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University.
Tom is a member of High Street United Methodist Church and has served on many boards over the years. Originally from Bellefontaine, Ohio, Tom graduated from Muncie Central and Ball State University and continues to live in Muncie with his wife, Cheryl. They have 1 daughter, Angela and 2 grandchildren.
With more than 22 years of experience in the financial services industry, David provides knowledgeable guidance for families and individuals in comprehensive financial planning services. Loyal and hardworking, his mission is to foster lasting relationships with each of his clients in order to deliver truly tailored wealth management strategies that help them pursue their personal and financial goals.
Before joining Raymond James in October 2017, David was a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial, City Securities Corporation and AG Edwards. He attended Ball State University.
David is a parishioner at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren. A Muncie native, he and his wife, Joni, have seven children – Kelli, Kami, Kristi, Kati, Kasey, Zach and Emily. They also enjoy their 19 grandchildren.
For over 40 years, Ted Jarvis has had a career in the financial services industry in several official capacities. Ted’s expertise is in investment management as well as trust and estate planning. He is passionate about the investment markets and a continuing student of history and economic issues. Ted also has an active faith and believes his service to his clients should reflect those values and beliefs.
As a financial advisor at White River Wealth Advisors, Ted’s goal for his clients is to give them the service they deserve, regardless of the size of their account. “Each client is unique and I have been blessed with gifts to understand those complexities,” says Ted.
Ted graduated from Ball State University in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and obtained his MBA from Ball State in 1995. Ted also completed the ABA Trust School 3-year program in 1999. He has spent over 23 years in the Trust industry primarily as a Senior Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager, directing the investment process and platforms for clients. Ted also has 13 years of experience as a licensed securities broker.
Ted tries to stay physically active and enjoys bicycling when possible. He is also an avid reader and loves outdoor activities. Ted is especially involved in pursuing his personal relationship with Jesus Christ and enjoys using his faith principles in serving his client’s financial matters.
Ted has been blessed with a wonderful marriage with his wife Julie since 1979, residing in Muncie IN. They have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren and highly values any family time with all of them.
Taylor Davis found his way to the world of financial advising after realizing that his engineer-driven mind was also really great at helping others discover easy-to-implement solutions to some of their most hard-to-solve problems.
A graduate of Trine University, Taylor is a licensed financial advisor who holds Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, Series 66, and Life/Health Insurance certifications. As an avid question asker, Taylor has a listen-first, do-next approach to financial planning – an unassuming habit that has strategically earned him lots of wins during late-night board game competitions with friends and family.
Always preferring the titles of husband and dad, Taylor actively cares for others through his involvement with Habitat for Humanity and Christian Ministries. He’s also involved with Kingdom Advisors and Boy Scouts of America, so if you want to build a fire and talk about generous giving, he’s your guy. (Quick disclaimer: Taylor has confessed to getting lost in a cave overnight and a story-worthy endeavor with an 8 foot tall KFC chicken bucket, so it’s possible the Boy Scouts no longer claim him as one of their own.)
As a finance and accounting graduate of Indiana University, Zion Osner has deep Indiana roots.
He’s an avid fan of Purdue sports and can sometimes be found sporting his Boiler gear on the golf course or in the gym. He’s also a strong supporter of RUF at Purdue and Reliant, two organizations focused on building the Church and growing the Christian community.
Prior to joining White River Wealth Advisors, Zion served with a multinational financial services company. He holds the Series 7, Series 66, and Life/Health Insurance licenses to help individuals and families with their retirement and insurance solutions.
Relationally-driven, Zion is a natural listener (and if we’re honest, this is probably the byproduct of being the middle child squeezed between two highly talkative siblings). You won’t often catch him talking about himself, but if you’d like to learn more about who he really is, ask him about his unplanned overnight stay at a stranger’s house in Paris. It’s a story you won’t regret hearing.
Angie knows how stressful financial planning can feel, so she brings all her smarts and skills to the table in order to simplify the entire wealth management experience.
An avid book reader, an amateur painter, a tea enthusiast, and a self-confessed plant lady, Angie studied religious studies, women’s studies, and surgical technology during her college years. This wide and diverse range of knowledge allows her to be one of our expert problem-solvers – even (and sometimes especially) when under pressure.
When Angie isn’t keeping all the documents and paperwork in order for our team and clients, she’s showing up in her favorite role as a mom. Her favorite charities include World Vision and CRU, and she actively volunteers for the Muncie Civic Theater and at her daughter’s school.
As a lifelong Delaware County resident, Michelle Cupp rarely meets someone who doesn’t become a fast friend.
Our Director of First Impressions, Michelle doesn’t just believe in quick hellos and small talk about the weather. She connects with each client, learns about their goals and needs, and then advocates for them throughout the entire client journey.
Her glass-always-full approach tends to be contagious, so when you meet her, be prepared to feel a little bit better about the world we live in. She’s a champion of Muncie Animal Care & Services, Smash Cancer, Samaritan’s Purse, and World Vision, but if you really want to get her talking, ask her about her childhood days on Lake Tippecanoe and all those late night dances at Tippy Dance Hall.
With more than 15 years in client management and financial services, Logan is the first touchpoint for every client at White River Wealth Management. Hyper-focused on building connections and relationships, Logan transforms the often complex world of financial advising into an experience that feels less like number crunching and more like living room chatter over your favorite cup of coffee.
Our chief encourager, Logan can spend hours talking about his love for woodworking, sketching, hiking, music, and running. Logan is an observer who makes space for those he connects with, never chasing his own gain, but always elevating others before himself. As a husband and a father, Logan excels with his gift of adaptability, and he is a true servant leader – both in and beyond our office.
Throughout his lifetime, Logan has traveled the world, and in his pre-family days, he was known for taking spontaneous trips – including an adventure that took him to Canada just so he could buy a cheeseburger.
Let’s chat and see if working together feels like a right next step.
